About the videojournalism internship
Daily Bruin Video is the award-winning video journalism department of the Daily Bruin newspaper. We give budding journalists the opportunity to film, edit and tell visually compelling stories for news, sports, and arts & entertainment as we move forward into the exciting new frontier of video journalism.

Any student who applies to work for the Daily Bruin is applying for an internship. Not all applicants will be accepted. Those who are accepted are guaranteed an internship position at the Daily Bruin on the condition that they complete a series of training workshops. Training workshops are mandatory.

Deadlines and selection
The application deadline for winter quarter has passed. Video will recruit again fall quarter. If you'd like to apply, applications will be posted here in the first few weeks of fall quarter.

An important note on the workshops
The training workshops are led by a professional journalist and will give you basic theoretical and practical training.
Please note: All interns must attend a set of mandatory workshops. No exceptions will be made. If you cannot attend a workshop or multiple workshops, your internship will be discontinued and you will have to reapply. If you need clarification, please see the media adviser, Amy Emmert. Questions about workshop attendance must be directed to Amy.

After the workshops
Once you've completed the workshops, you will start working at the Daily Bruin as an intern. In time you could become a paid staffer.
