LEARN SKILLS, GET PAID AND HAVE FUN WHILE YOU PREPARE FOR A CAREER UCLA Student Media is the best place for a UCLA student to get hands-on, pre-professional experience in nearly every aspect of journalism and the business of media. But no matter what your career aspirations are, you will learn important skills, such as communication and team-work, at Student Media to help you achieve success in any field. There are even opportunities to get paid while you learn and network through Student Media. Experience is not required. Students are trained and given direct experience doing dream jobs like covering the basketball team at the Final Four or managing $100,000 in client advertising accounts. OUR MEDIA UCLA Student Media includes an award-winning daily newspaper (the Daily Bruin), along with its website, radio and video programming. The Daily Bruin's business side also includes opportunities in advertising sales and marketing. Seven community-focused newsmagazines (La Gente, Nommo, Al Talib, OutWrite, Ha'Am, Pacific Ties and Fem) call Student Media home, along with Bruinlife yearbook and Whichever branch of Student Media you choose to join, you will gain experiences that will enrich your college years and prepare you for the job market or further study once you graduate.
